UFO in Oklahoma

I really didn't know what to name the title of my story, except that there are some strange things that happen in my hometown. It's just a rural farming community, with one general store, if you blink your eyes going through, you'll miss it.

Anyway, I moved away when I was 18 years old, I am now 49 years old. I still have relatives living there that I visit on occasion.

While growing up there as a child, I can remember a lot of scary things that went on. What I'm about to tell is very true.

The people that live there don't tell of what happened for fear of being laughed at or ridiculed, so we all keep it to ourselves. But we know that these things happened, and believe in our hearts, to be true.

One year, probably back in the 70's, our town was host to an unidentified flying object. There is a pond by our school on the west side. It was on a hot summer night in July, my brother was up watching television, probably around 2:00a.m. He got tired and sleepy and decided to go to bed. He went to his bedroom, when outside his window he saw a very bright light that would change colors, like red to green, green to blue, blue to white and so on. He thought "what in the world is that"?, and maybe it was some of his friends playing tricks, so he went outside to investigate.

When he got outside, he couldn't believe his eyes, just due north of his house was a UFO, it was hovering above our school pond! He couldn't believe what he was seeing as it was very very real! He said it was just like in the movies, only real. He said he had to pinch himself, because he thought he was dreaming, but he wasn't.

Other people saw it too, it just hovered over the school pond and just flew out of sight making no noise at all. The shape of it was round with lights around it.

This is just one story of many that's happened in our little rural town.
