Why Her

When my sister was quite little her room was next to mine. It had a blue carpet with a double bed in it, and it was quite cold all the time.

I remember from when I was little my mum saying that we had to have an extra radiator fitted to get rid of the cold from that room but whatever we did it still stayed icy.

One night I went in there looking for my mother and it was stiflingly hot but that was the only time I ever it remember being less than freezing.

One day when I was about 9 my mum popped over the road to talk to the neighbour. I was by myself but I wasn't in the slightest bit scared. I was sitting playing with my Barbie dolls (I was nine!!) when I heard a voice say "Why me?". It was a female voice and it was coming from under the bed.

Thinking it was the Bogeyman I ran downstairs. I went into the living room and found that for some reason there were videos all over the floor, and they had all been tidy when my mum had gone out.

I went into the garden and began playing with my sister and her friends. I successfully forgot about the incident until a couple of weeks ago, but there have been other things as well.

I remember vaguely that I was once staring at the curtains in my bedroom when they began moving violently. There were no windows open. I was little and thought it funny at the time.
We moved when I was 11.
